20 People in Under 15 minutes ?

Here's a recent magazine cover/ gatefold I shot for the National Recreation and Park Association's magazine. We shot all 20 people (2 frames) in under 15 minutes to put together this cover/gatefold of their Board of Directors. (Our set-up time ? Quite a bit more that 15 minutes)

My Friend

I'm thinking of my friend Melanie today, too many years have passed. Minneapolis to Sydney is a long trip. These were taken in Brazil, years ago. Your birthday is approaching, maybe this post will find you. Some friendships ebb and flow; some are constant despite contact or distance. Happy Birthday Melanie !

summertime

Summertime. It's more about making photographs that blogging about them. There are many new images to share, both personal projects and client projects. There were warm southern beaches, and cool Canadian shores. There were dancers flying through the air, foggy sunrises on locations, Halloween in July, and drag queens dancing late into the night. For now, just a small sampling. It's still summertime.

Sara's Images in Times Square

In April, I was commissioned by Minneapolis ad agency Carmichael Lynch to create 11 portraits for a joint project involving Martek Biosciences and The National Center for Creative Aging.  After a ten-city shoot, a PR event was held May 25, 2010 to launch the Beautiful Minds Campaign, with the photographs debuting on a giant jumbotron in Times Square and Martek executives ringing the NASDAQ Opening Bell. Here are some images of Times Square from that morning.
