The Society of Publication Designers, Metro, and some of my images.
The Society of Publication Designers is featuring a story I worked on for Metro Magazine. It's on their blog today, check it out, right above a story about Platon ! I shot half the story and one of Metro's staff shooters shot the other half. Good job Metro and especially CD Bryan Nanista.

back and forward
it started by digging through files from the summer to find a photo for charlie.
it turned into a a look back on a beautiful summer.

I just don't dig on swine, that's all. Except for Bacon.
sometimes, you find yourself staring your food source in the eye.
Beautiful, in an "I dig on swine" kind of way.

spooks and sugar
Halloween 2009. Only a few photos, but without a doubt, my favorite of holidays.
"It was already one in the morning; the rain pattered dismally against the panes, and my candle was nearly burnt out, when, by the glimmer of the half-extinguished light, I saw the dull yellow eye of the creature open . . ."

First Annual 78 Summit
Saturday night, we found ourselves at the First Annual 78 Summit: "A festival of recorded music on 78 RPM Discs."
By Wednesday, we had over 100 78s and a 78 player in our living room.

Obama in Minneapolis - 9/12/09
I didn't actually go to the rally, but since it took place less than a mile from my house in downtown Minneapolis, I felt compelled to take a walk down the street to see what folks were up to. I only stayed about 30 minutes, here is a sampling of what I saw.
Zombies for Obama, sweet.

K-12
My cousin-in-law gave me a whole box of old cameras today. The cameras are amazing, but most exciting is the shot roll of K-12 process kodachrome film that was left in an old Kodak Retina. Stay tuned, I'm having it processed --

just this dead squirrel
Shot three super cool jobs in the last week -- but unfortunately cannot blog about them until they get published. So for now here's a dead squirrel, mostly for my friend Kelly that hates squirrels. I didn't have anything to do with his death ... he committed suicide in my father-in-law's pool.

spooky
I drive by this place often. This is the first time I've photographed it.
As I was leaving, a light turned on. Spooky.
