spooky

I drive by this place often. This is the first time I've photographed it.

As I was leaving, a light turned on. Spooky.

another time

I was on location near here earlier this week and it occurred to me that I stood on top of this once. It was a long time ago, but I still like to climb things.

But seriously

Here are some glimpses of Memorial Day weekend ...

Crossing the lake just after sunset ...

Oliver and dad ...

Memorial Day

Let's see -- we've got diapers, some legos, a banjo, and our BB gun. Guess we are all set.

Yoga Journal

Here's a shot/layout of Matt Sanford that I did for the Yoga Journal. Matt wrote a book, "Waking" -- it is a thought-proving book, everybody should read it. http://www.matthewsanford.com/. Part of what I love about being a photographer is that I get to meet interesting people like Matt. His ideas about the mind/body connection are thought provoking, but more than that, to me, the book is just about living. It's not every day that we get to meet modern day philosophers like Matt ...

poodle

Poodles -- they are surprisingly (to me) -- pretty cool dogs. We are finally thinking about getting a dog -- I'm thinking a poodle mix. A schnoodle (schnoodle/poodle), a boxerdoodle (boxer/poodle), or maybe a doxipoo (dachsund/poodle)? Or my personal favorite, a shih-poo but just so we can call it a shit-poo.

tutu

For the very talented artist (Amy Hero Jones) who makes the tutus ...

swings

Somehow, we have added a fleet of swings to our studio. I wish they made these in adult size.

new restaurant

for a new restaurant opening soon ....

breakfast

I shot this as part of a breakfast story for Metro Magazine -- but unfortunately the rooster didn't make the cut. He was so co-operative for the photo shoot -- at least he made it to my blog. And in case you were wondering, it is a myth that roosters only crow in the morning. They crow anytime they please.

1st Mother's Day

And this seems like a fitting second blog, my first mother's day as a mom -- is it still a self-portrait now that my kid is in it with me ?

First Blog

Well, I'm finally blogging.  Or at least photo-blogging. This photo seems fitting. I was going to save this little duckling from being run over by a car -- but the hawk beat me to it.  At least nobody got run over.
